In February 2003, the Canadian Construction Association is heading back to Canada! From February 8 – 13, CCA is proud to welcome delegates to the 85th Annual Conference in one of the most beautiful cities in North America historic Quebec City, Quebec. To add to the splendour, our conference site is the majestic Château Frontenac, and if that were not enough, the conference will take place in conjunction with the world famous Quebec Winter Carnival! We invite you to come join us for Carnival in the heart of Quebec City!
The benefits of attending CCA’s Annual Conference are almost too numerous to mention. Delegates have an opportunity to network with the leaders of the construction industry from across Canada. Our educational program has been designed to provide you with relevant and timely information on a range of issues. The social activities, sporting facilities, and entertainment will ensure that you will come home from Quebec with lifelong memories. And of course, by hosting our conference in Canada, delegates will appreciate the cost savings they realize by using Canadian dollars.
The sessions that are being planned include:
Technology Tools
new technologies, interoperability, technology gaps
Business Succession
Environment Issues
Kyoto Climate Change Accord, mould
Human Resources
how to deal with difficult employees, dismissals, shortages of management personnel
Exports
exporting as a small contractor, breaking down the barriers
Standard Practices
Do you know what you have agreed to do? Are Owners getting what they paid for?
Canadian Cultural Landscapes
A Magic Way of Going
will show you how to balance your personal and professional lives.
These sessions are in addition to CCA’s Councils and Committees that will be meeting throughout the week. Feel free to come out and have your say on the major issues affecting the national construction industry.
The social activities we have planned are designed to celebrate the uniqueness of Quebec during Carnaval. Undoubtedly one of the most memorable events of the week will be the Winter Olympics pitting the general contractors, trade contractors, roadbuilders, and suppliers (I hear that the roadbuilders are the team to beat!). Our other world class events – including the Carnaval Night, the Sugar Shack Breakfast, Circus Night, the Awards Breakfast, and the magnificent Closing Gala have been designed to bring the magic of Carnaval and the Quebec region directly to you.
