Banking Guide for the Canadian Construction Industry
The primary purpose of this Guide is to foster a better understanding between members of the construction industry and the banking community. To do this, the Guide attempts to debunk some of the myths about both industries and to more clearly and correctly state the needs and expectations of both groups.
CCA's new Banking Guide is now available. The guide can be downloaded by visiting the Member's Only section.
Ready-Mixed Concrete Information
Since 2004, more and more ready-mixed concrete suppliers have decided not to disclose detailed proprietary concrete mix proportions. This is a model form jointly prepared by the Canadian Construction Association and Canadian Ready-Mixed Concrete Association to ensure CCA members receive all of the necessary information to handle the concrete without knowing the detailed mix proportions. Your feedback is welcomed and should be directed to CCA.
A copy of the model form can be downloaded here.
CCA Tax Guide to Employer-Provided Vehicles & Allowances
The tax treatment of employer-provided vehicles and vehicle allowances would not appear to be well-understood within the construction industry. Common misconceptions include the belief that driving pick-ups and vans to and from home to construction sites at the employer’s insistence will not amount to a taxable benefit. To address this and the recent changes announced in the February 2003 Federal Budget, CCA, in consultation with CCRA, has produced a Guide on Employer-Provided Vehicles. Doing Business in the US
CCA is pleased to announce that the Canadian Construction Association Guide to Doing Business in the United States is now available. To order a copy, please contact your local construction association.

CCA's Construction Industry Promotional Efforts Best Practices Guide
Promoting construction to youth and enhancing the image of the construction industry are among CCA’s biggest priorities - and challenges. In the summer of 2001, CCA canvassed its member associations and corporate members to provide specific examples of initiatives that they have launched to address these two challenges. The response was excellent - demonstrating that image enhancement and youth promotion are not just CCA’s priorities - they are the industry’s priorities. These initiatives were assembled into a “Best Practices Guide” so that construction companies and organizations can learn from one another. This Guide is now available: click here to download a copy in PDF format. (2.1 MB)
