The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum (CAF) has launched its Apprenticeship Champion campaign, calling for champions of apprenticeship to come forward to support a national research, discussion and promotion mandate. The General Services Administration has been using the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design system since 2003. Now it is considering other green-rating options, including Green Globes and the International Living Future Institute’s Living Building Challenge. However, the GSA could also opt to develop an in-house standard, according to Joni Teter, sustainability and green building programs adviser in the GSA’s Office of Federal High Performance Building.
