Construction as employer of choice advisory working group

A tech-savvy, capable and inclusive workforce is a priority for the industry. CCA is committed to developing and delivering a national strategy with measurable impact to re-position the image of the industry, attracting and retaining the workforce of tomorrow. 

We are pursuing three initiatives within this umbrella: 

  1. Developing a survey to measure perceptions; 
  2. Building the business case; and  
  3. Creating visibility for employers who successfully champion diversity and inclusion. 

This strategy will be guided by an advisory working group up to nine people who have expertise in recruitment, retention and research of under-represented segments such as women, indigenous or new Canadians and who bring employer, employee and educational perspectives.
