Aiming for sustainability and long lifetime, building envelope solutions must take into account future outdoor environmental conditions including local climate change. A complete methodology to assess building envelope service life would help in developing custom-made retrofit interventions and in designing sustainable and resilient building envelope solutions.
This talk will present the challenge of designing or retrofitting building envelopes in the context of climate change. Best practices in modelling will be presented.
