At PCL Construction, safety isn’t just a checklist—it’s a way of life. With zero fatalities in the past three years and over 16.7 million hours worked without a lost-time incident, PCL is leading the charge in building a safer construction industry. In 2023, they earned an incredible 97 per cent average score across all Canadian districts in the Certificate of Recognition program.

But they’re not stopping there! Through the College of Construction and a cutting-edge Learning Management System, PCL is transforming safety training—from 636 completions in 2022 to over 21,000 in 2024. Their “STCKY” campaign (Stuff That Can Kill You) and new advanced safety helmets are helping protect workers in powerful new ways.

PCL also plays a major role in shaping industry standards, partnering with leading research groups and safety organizations across North America. Their message is clear: when safety comes first, everyone wins.
