Canadian Construction Association officially launches SignaSur, bringing CCDC and CCA contracts into a new digital era
SignaSurTM provides a secure, streamlined way for Canada’s construction industry to access, complete, execute and manage trusted CCDC and CCA contracts and documents.
OTTAWA, October 27, 2026 — The Canadian Construction Association (CCA) today officially launches SignaSur™, a digital contract lifecycle management tool designed specifically for CCA and Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC) contracts, forms and documents used throughout Canada’s construction industry.
Four years in the making, SignaSur represents a significant step in the modernization of how construction contracts and standard documents are accessed, completed, executed and managed. The development of SignaSur was also driven by years of feedback from document users, who have been asking for a more digital, streamlined way to work with CCA and CCDC documents.
“SignaSur is the result of four years of hard work, collaboration and listening to the construction industry about what a modern contract experience should look like,” said Rodrigue Gilbert, President of the Canadian Construction Association. “We wanted to improve the way contractors work with CCDC and CCA documents without changing the trust, consistency and integrity that make these documents so important to our industry.
The platform supports the contract process from document creation through execution and management, including project and contract information, collaboration, electronic signatures, document tracking and version visibility. The digital copyright seal is also incorporated into the workflow.
The launch marks the culmination of an extensive development, education and testing process involving CCA, its partner associations, and authorized document outlets across the country. Multiple document outlets participated in onboarding and national testing ahead of the full launch.
Available through authorized document outlets
SignaSur is accessed through authorized CCA document outlets. To find an authorized outlet and access SignaSur, visit SignaSur.ca/get-signasur. Users can visit the participating outlets’ online storefronts to enroll and purchase the CCDC and CCA documents they need.
These outlets provide customers with a familiar point of contact for purchasing documents, while SignaSur provides the digital environment for completing and managing those documents.
The launch of SignaSur comes as CCA prepares for the broader transition away from traditional sales of CCA and CCDC standard documents. Effective December 31, 2026, sales of traditional CCA and CCDC standard construction documents will be discontinued (except for CCDC 9 statutory declaration seals, which will continue to be available).
“Construction contracts are foundational to every project, and the documents themselves are not changing because of SignaSur,” said Gilbert. “What is changing is the experience around them. SignaSur gives the industry a digital tool to improve collaboration, communication and contract execution.”
SignaSur is now available through participating authorized document outlets across Canada.
