New defence projects list gives contractors early insight
The Department of National Defence (DND) has released its Defence Major Infrastructure Projects list, outlining planned military construction and renovation projects valued at $25 million and above. The list was presented at Industry Day 2025, an event delivered in collaboration with Defence Construction Canada (DCC), and is now publicly available at the link below.
For construction contractors, this release offers a forward‑looking view of medium and long‑term defence infrastructure opportunities nationwide.
The projects span a wide range of asset types and regions, including:
- Base and wing infrastructure
- Housing and accommodation projects
- Armouries and training facilities
- Airfields and hangars
- Northern and remote infrastructure investments
By sharing upcoming defence projects including timelines and cost ranges, DND is hoping to give contractors the information they need to prepare early and compete, supporting broader participation nationwide.
