Introduction:
Reporting to the VP, Communications, Marketing and Member Services, the Assistant Manager, Gold Seal and Education is the operational lead for CCA’s Gold Seal Certification and education programs.
The position manages the complete participant and program lifecycle, including inquiries, applications, examinations, certification, course accreditation, Gold Seal Employers, education delivery, systems, records, and reporting. The Assistant Manager ensures programs are delivered accurately, consistently and efficiently while identifying opportunities to improve processes and the participant experience.
Working with the VP, the Assistant Manager also contributes operational expertise to the development, modernization, and growth of Gold Seal and CCA’s professional development offerings.
The successful candidate combines exceptional attention to detail with strong judgment, program-management capability, and a commitment to client service.

Responsibilities:
Client and stakeholder service
- Serve as the primary operational contact for prospective and current applicants, certified professionals, Gold Seal Employers, course providers and partner associations
- Respond to inquiries and provide clear guidance on certification, examination, accreditation and education requirements.
- Develop and maintain participant communications, templates, guidance materials and service standards.
- Deliver information webinars, training sessions and presentations for applicants, employers and partner associations.
Certification and accreditation
- Manage all operations related to the Gold Seal program, including enrollment, applications, operating the examination cycle, coordinating certificate orders, and ensuring certification decisions and records are consistent, compliant, and defensible.
- Track application status, payments, refunds and outstanding requirements.
- Manage the Gold Seal portal, website, and promotion in collaboration with other teams to ensure it meets the program’s requirements and needs.
- Manage the Gold Seal course accreditation process, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and maintaining accurate, up-to-date information on renewal dates and other accreditation requirements.
- Conduct routine data-quality reviews and resolve discrepancies.
Examinations
- Manage the complete Gold Seal examination cycle, including registration, eligibility, participant communications, administration and results.
- Maintain examination-writer lists and coordinate required information with partner associations upon request.
- Review examination feedback and analyze examination results and trends, recommending improvements wherever required, collaborating with consultants and/or subject-matter experts as needed.
- Ensure controls are in place to protect examination integrity, confidentiality and data.
Gold Seal Employers
- Manage the Gold Seal Employer Program, including prospect support, inquiries, onboarding, renewals and ongoing engagement.
- Conduct onboarding meetings by employer request and provide employers with appropriate resources and guidance.
- Maintain employer profiles, program records, logos and promotional assets.
- Coordinate employer announcements and promotional content with Marketing and Translation.
- Monitor employer participation and recommend improvements to the program.
- Support the association’s efforts to increase employer adoption.
Education programs
- Manage the delivery of Construction 101in Canada, Construction 102 in Canada and other assigned education programs.
- Coordinate the distribution and maintenance of program materials with partner associations and facilitators, ensuring content is accurate, up to date, and aligned with program standards and requirements.
- Track and maintain information on Construction 101 and 102 courses offered through partner associations, including course availability, schedules, delivery details, and CCA revenue by participant and association.
- Analyze participant feedback and recommend program improvements, along with supporting course revisions and curriculum development, as well as any new education offerings.
Committee support
- Support the association as staff liaison to the Gold Seal Committee.
- Coordinate meeting schedules, agendas, materials and logistics, including the preparation of reports, taking of minutes, decision tracking, and other tasks as required.
Financial and performance management
- Develop draft budgets and forecasts for Gold Seal and assigned education programs, in consultation with the VP, Communications, Marketing and Member Services.
- Monitor revenue, expenses, refunds, applications, participation and other performance measures.
- Prepare regular performance reports for the executive team and Gold Seal Committee, including the identification of operational risks, capacity limitations and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in special projects as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Three or more years of experience in certification, professional education, credentialing, program administration or association services.
- Experience independently managing complex processes, participant records and recurring deadlines.
- Strong judgment and the ability to interpret and consistently apply program requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization and follow-through.
- Strong written, verbal and client-service skills.
- Ability to manage a high volume of inquiries and transactions while maintaining accuracy.
- Experience with certification, application-management, CRM or learning-management systems is an asset.
- Experience supporting committees or volunteer governance groups is an asset.
- Experience in a member-based organization is an asset.
- Bilingualism required.
